Description : Sodium sulfate is an inorganic compound containing formula Na2SO4 and a number of related hydrates. All forms are highly soluble white solids in water. The decahydrate is a major commodity chemical product with an annual production of 6 million tons. It is used primarily in the manufacture of detergents, in the paper pulping process, and in textile manufacturing.
